I used my Breville Juicer to make my celery juice. The Celery Juice book explains all the amazing benefits of celery while the other book Cleanse to Heal has all of the cleanse information and recipes. I specifically chose the 'simplified' program as I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. It is a 9 day cleansing liver detoxing/cleansing program that you do NOT eat dairy, meat, soy, nuts, seeds, gluten, salt, alcohol, caffeine, oils/fats and grains (except oats). The reason behind this is because these are the main bad bug feeders in our gut and intestines. Instead we want to give our body a break from these foods and and focus on filling our gut with water and nutrient dense foods like fruits and vegetables in their purest form. The food I ate below is from the Cleanse to Heal book. I will post some of his recipes along the way but I definitely recommend getting this book as it talks about many disease states and why they exist and how to heal your body.
Day 1:
Wake up: 1/2 lemon squeezed in 16 oz water
30 min later: 16 oz fresh pressed celery juice
30 min later: 1 cup cooked oats w/ 1/4 wild blueberries and cinnamon
Morning Snack: Apple or Applesauce, if hungry
Lunch: Stuffed Butternut Squash
Snack: Apple + Celery sticks and Cucumber slices
Dinner: Mini Potato Cake Pizzas + Leafy Green Salad
One hour before bed: Apple or Applesauce, if hungry + 16 oz lemon or lime water + Hibiscus Tea
For observation I have weighed myself and will keep track daily.
Daily Weight: 128.6 lbs
