Life, health, travel and fun with Sara
Hello beautiful ladies and gentlemen!
I've been soaking in the amazing views of San Diego, California. It has truly been nothing but good vibes and good energy. I did want to be transparent with you guys and make a little confession. April was my birthday month, as well as my sister's wedding. With all of the events going on, alcohol was a big part of my vacation. I was having a great time, and partaking in a couple of celebratory drinks. Everything was fine until it wasn't. A couple of weeks later, it caught up with me and I spent a day not feeling well, I felt sick. So I spent a lot of time resting, drinking tons of waters and lots of self reflection. I think I am done with alcohol.
Shortly after, we went bowling with a couple friends. We knew that there would be tons of unhealthy food, fried foods, and more alcohol. We made a conscious decision beforehand to not participate in any drinking that evening. We indulged in a turkey sandwich before we got to the bowling alley. Our goal was to enjoy the evening without forcing "fun" with alcohol. The temptations were there, trust me; but because we had that talk with ourselves before arriving and held each other accountable, we did not indulge in any food and only drank water. I did however, stop at McDonalds to get an ice cream sundae. It was my birthday treat to myself! I wanted it and it was delicious. I haven't had one in a long time so that curbed my craving for it but I have been doing better since then!
Just wanted to update you guys and make that confession to let you know that it's not easy for anyone. Sometimes you have temptations to indulge in things that don't necessarily help you towards your goals. Have a moment to reflect, and make a conscious decision to do better.
